OPPO - Get Real With Us
Oppo was doing a pan-Southeast Asia launch of their new selfie focused phone, and wanted Vice to help with a campaign that could hero the phone's portrait capabilities. To stand out from other camera-focused campaigns, we chose an insight that felt to us both authentic and impactful - Southeast Asians grow up with the belief that their personal feelings are secondary and should be hidden away. On the back of this insight, we crafted a campaign where we invited influencers from 5 different countries to share with us an emotion they have always had an issue expressing, and show it without inhibitions using the phone's portrait camera.
